We started Proxels in 2024 after seeing too many AI projects make big promises but fail in production. Our conviction was simple: real AI progress comes from strong engineering foundations, not surface-level demos.

The Beginning

Proxels began in 2024 with a pattern we couldn't stop noticing. We were a small group of engineers and product builders who kept getting pulled in to rescue AI initiatives that had stalled — projects that looked impressive in a demo but fell apart the moment they met real data, real users, or real scale. The ambition was always there. The foundation underneath it usually wasn't.

The Belief

We became convinced the industry had it backwards. Most teams were treating AI as a feature to bolt on, when the hard part was everything around it — the architecture, the data, the evaluation, the boring engineering that decides whether an AI product actually holds up in production. So we built Proxels around a simple stance: move at the pace innovation demands, but never at the expense of the foundation.

The Proof

Our first build was a small one — an AI system for a founder who'd been told by two other teams it couldn't be done reliably. It shipped, and it worked. That founder introduced us to another, and the work began to travel the way good work does: by reputation, not by pitch. What started as a handful of local projects grew into engagements across multiple continents — recruitment, healthcare, legal tech, retail & ecommerce.
